Bio

If you're already familiar with our school, you know that it is just about the BEST you will ever come by.  If you're new, WELCOME!  Not only will your child love it here but you will be so impressed by our outstanding school.  I can't wait to meet you and your child and share a very special experience- their first year in school!

Before we begin the year, allow me to tell you a bit about myself.  I was born and raised in New York, New York and worked in the South Bronx for the first four years of my teaching career.

How did I get to Slapout?  Funny you (like sooo many other people) should ask!  In 2007, my brother was stationed at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery with his wife and (then) three children.  A visit to see them in July that year prompted me to get involved with a church in Millbrook.  The love of my family, the church and a calling from the Lord lead me to move to Alabama.  Weeks later, I got in touch with Mrs. Mary Lucy Crapps and Mrs. Kathy Terrell and was thrilled at the gem of a school I had found in Holtville Elementary School.  I'm blessed that they saw my potential!

I've had several fun years teaching kindergarten now and seem to love every year more than the last!  Although my family moved to Japan, then Navarre, Florida, and are now stationed at Barksdale in Louisian, I'm happy where I am!  I've even convinced my mom to move to Bama!  Now, we visit my brother & his little family, which now includes an adopted nephew, frequently- especially since spending time with them is my absolute favorite pastime!

When I'm not at school or with my family, I enjoy reading, baking, going to the movies, watching football (WAR EAGLE) and pinning my heart out on Pinterest!  I live in Millbrook and attend Centerpoint Fellowship Church in Prattville.
