Confidentiality
School counselors are held to the same strict confidentiality standards as other professional counselors. Issues shared in a student/parent/teacher counseling session will remain confidential. There are however exceptions where we will need to break confidentiality; if someone is harming themselves, harming others, or being harmed by someone else, or by court order.

When will my child see the counselor?
There will be opportunities for them to see the counselor in classroom guidance lessons, small group guidance upon referral, and individual counseling sessions. Students can be referred to me by their teacher, a parent, or even self-referrals when they need to talk about issues bothering them or help solving a problem.
